Stayed in Amerin Hotel, Johor Bahru for one night. It is a relatively new hotel and is located opposite Perling Mall. If you are taking public transport from Singapore, take the CW3 bus from Jurong East Bus Interchange. It will bring you to Perling Mall and simply cross the busy main road – you will arrive at Amerin Hotel. The CW3 bus terminal is located just outside Perling Mall; this is where you take the same CW3 bus back to Singapore.

Amerin Hotel is a 17th storey hotel and is the newest and most impressive hotel in Taman Perling area. The check in was smooth and quick. There is a RM100 room deposit if you are not using your credit card. The lift was fast and spacious. There is a 7-11 shop and a cafe located within the hotel itself. That makes it easy for travelers to buy drinks or toiletries; as well as have a cup of brewed coffee.

The room was small but had all the necessities you need to stay for the night. The air conditioned was cold and quiet; using Mitsubishi brand system. The room was clean, the toilet was clean as well. The king size bed with very firm and the pillows comfortable. Overall I am very pleased with the room.

Opposite Amerin Hotel Johor Bahru is the Bus Terminal going back to Singapore

Morning breakfast was served at a small restaurant. The breakfast spread was limited but sufficient enough for a hearty breakfast. The swimming pool was a compact size for a quick dip at the pool. There were plenty of tables and chairs to relax and get a tan.

Amerin Hotel is a good hotel to stay if you are visiting Taman Perling, Legoland or Bukit Indah. The hotel rate was inexpensive ( very economical ) and it is value for money.

Took a trip to Perling Mall, which is located at Jalan Persisiran Perling Satu, Taman Perling. Going to Perling Mall from Singapore – take CW3 from Jurong East Bus Interchange and it will take you right outside Perling Mall. The journey can take more than 1.5 hours if there is a jam at the Customs and Immigration at the Second Link.

Secret Recipe Restaurant at Perling Mall

Perling Mall is a 2 storey mall which I think had been refurbished and renovated not too long ago. The anchor tenant is Giant Supermarket; and there are other shops like Marybrown Restaurant, Seasons bakery, Cosway, Watsons, etc. Interesting there is also a cinema as well.

I don’t see tourists here as compared to City Square Mall in Johor Bahru. I think it served mainly residents staying around Taman Perling area. There is a brand new hotel opposite Perling Mall – it is called Amerin Hotel.
