I stayed at Somerset Ampang during my recent trip to Kuala Lumpur.  Near the hotel is the Intermark Mall which is about 5 minutes walk from Somerset Ampang. There is a Macdonald’s restaurant at the ground floor.

There is one food item that interest me and that was the Youtiao ( Chinese dough or donut ) or known as  Cakoi in MacDonald’s. I ate this Youtiao or Cakoi almost everyday during my stay. It was crispy and surprisingly not oily at all. The Cakoi was also not salty; in fact it tasted slightly bland which suited my taste. Overall it is a delicious food item for breakfast or tea break.

I do hope that Macdonald’s Malaysia will continue to sell Youtiao or Cakoi for as long as possible.
